ATIC's Tech/Telecom Policy & Strategy Committee Discussion Lists:
ATIC has created two Yahoo! Groups to support active ATIC communications and engagement. You'll need a basic Yahoo! account (but not a Yahoo! e-mail address) to access the content and subscribe to it, a relatively painless process they'll lead you through if you don't already have one.
The
ATIC-Policy List is for posting technology and telecommunications policy news and dialogue about related issues. To subscribe send an e-mail to
atic-policy-subscribe@yahoogroups.com from your desired address. Once subscribed, to post a message send it to
atic-policy@yahoogroups.com. The ATIC-Policy group can be found online at

The
ATIC-Strategy List is for the
ATIC Strategy Committee's use in conducting the business of the Committee and related dialogue among participants. The Committee is Co-Chaired by Steve Peters and Ron Schott. To subscribe send any e-mail to

ATIC is pleased to post an informal survey of broadband coverage in Arizona towns & counties
here. Although this Broadband availability summary is by no means exhaustive, it is sourced from both summary and anecdotal information provided by community leaders in various conversations. The summary information also relies on information from "official" comprehensive surveys held by USDA as they have processed Broadband infrastructure loans. Discussions with various vendors and from observation of specific institutions has also yielded valuable information. Other sources include input from librarians and K-12 school leaders who receive E-Rate funding. This informal survey is quite limited as to application, and should not be used to formulate policy or any other specific decision. It is only a high level guide. Percentages provided are "best" estimates. The estimates however, do reflect a stated concern by leaders of the local communities mentioned. A comprehensive statewide Broadband survey is the only way to substantiate and comprehensively identify the exact "deficit" or non-deficit areas in Arizona. Please submit any additions, corrections or suggestions by email to
atic@researchedge.com. Again, the current version of the survey can be downloaded
